What the role is accountable for

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting with the execution and coordination of marketing tasks for Bob Groups logistic services, namely Bob Box, Bob Go and Ship Logic. Ensuring that strategies developed by the marketing team are effectively implemented and maintained. We are seeking a candidate who is organized and detail-oriented, with a solid understanding of SEO, social media, paid media, content creation, and email marketing.

Role reporting

The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Head of Marketplace / Head of Business / Managing Director.

A typical day may include

➔ Assisting in maintaining brand consistency across each service namely Bob Box, Bob Go and Ship Logic

➔ Supporting the project management of marketing projects

➔ Coordinating with the PR agency and assisting in executing the PR strategy

➔ Helping implement plans for campaigns, promotions, and competitions

➔ Assisting in managing the marketing budget, especially focusing on paid media

➔ Supporting the marketing team with various tasks and initiatives

➔ Prioritising and tracking marketing tasks to ensure timely completion

➔ Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support marketing efforts

➔ Assisting in the organisation and preparation of assets for digital platforms

➔ Helping maintain relationships with external partners

➔ Providing reports and feedback on marketing activities

➔ Assisting in planning and coordinating events to engage the eCommerce community

➔ Creating and curating marketing content as needed

➔ Supporting the management and evaluation of paid media campaigns

➔ Assisting with SEO strategy implementation and monitoring

Qualifications we look for

Essential Qualifications: Matric/Grade 12

Preferred Qualifications: Tertiary qualification or degree in Business Management or Marketing related field.

Experience we look for

➔ Function-related experience: 4+

➔ Industry-related experience: Courier, Logistics, eCommerce or Software as a service experience is preferred.

➔ Digital marketing: Knowledge of various digital marketing channels such as social media, email marketing, SEO, content marketing and paid media.

➔ Communication skills: Must have good verbal and written communication skills to disseminate information, share this with the team and create compelling marketing plans.

➔ Decision-making skills: This role requires strong decision-making skills to analyse information, make plan changes, provide feedback and implement creative solutions.

➔ Getting stuff done: Must be willing to jump in and assist when and where needed, with not task to big or too small to complete with positivity.

About the role

This is an in-office-based role, requiring you to be available to work at the Pretoria (Menlyn) offices 5 days a week, with some travel requirement to the Bryanston office on an ad-hoc basis when required.
